ASEAN Small Medium Industry (SMI's) Cassava Products Festival

MSI- Masyarakat Singkong Indonesia akan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Konferensi dan Festival Produk Singkong tingkat ASEAN yang akan diadakan tanggal 8 - 12 November 2011 di Nusa Dua Bali.

Kegiatan ASEAN Small Medium Industry (SMI's) Cassava Product Festival ini dilaksanakan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Industri Kecil dan Menengah, Kementrian Perindustrian bekerjasama dengan MSI dan lembaga terkait lainnya, dalam acara tersebut akan diselenggarakan tiga kegiatan yaitu International Cassava Conference, Business Contact, Gala Dinner dan Exhibition. (Rhp).

PATRTICIPANTS OF COMPANIES

Cassava Starch :

• Food and Beverage: The cassava starch will be used in both its original form and its other modified forms, for instance, the instant noodle, sago, seasoning sauce including beverages;
• Sweeteners: They are glucose and fructose which are used as the sweeteners in the beverage industry;
• Textile Industry: It is used for slipping the thread and to make the thread being without hair during the weaving and to fortify the thread including the cloth printing in order to make the cloth being shining and durable;

• Paper Industry: To mix it with the paper in order that the paper pulp to be tough and thick;
• Glue Industry: To use it for producing glue including any products that’s their mixture is the glue;
• Plywood Industry: To use it in form of glue made from cassava starch in the process of plywood manufacture in order to make the plywood becomes qualified, tough and durable
• Medicine Industry: To use it as the diluent of capsule medicine and pill;
• Monosodium Glutamate: To use it for producing the MFG for seasoning food;
• Bio-Degradable Material Products: To use the cassava starch to be transformed as product by mean of adding the bio-degradable substance to be in place of plastic.

Cassava Chips :

1. Animal Feeds : It is used as the ingredients of animal feeds;
2. Fuel / Alcohol / Gasohol: It is used for producing alcohol for the liquor manufacture and the disinfectant. And for producing Ethanol and mixed with fuel which is a renewable energy source
3. Food / Mokaf : New food sources rich in carbohydrates, calcium and phosphorus. easy on the production of small-scale industries to large industrial

Cassava Leaf
To be raw material of animal feeds in order to increase protein/color substance in egg

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• International Conference
The theme for this international conference will be : “ Cassava Business Challenge in ASEAN”. The program will include the site visit stand of the participant countries.

• Opening Night Gala Dinner
The cultural performance will be held simultaneously with the opening night gala dinner. The performance will invite the ASEAN countries.

• Exhibition
This exhibition will invite the ASEAN countries. The program will be showing cassava’s product derivatives, technologies, industries, etc.

• Business Meeting
International leaders, businessman, international companies etc will be attend on this meeting. This program objective is to provide for international business especially in ASEAN region. Business partnership will be done this program.

• Farewell Dinner
The music performances will be held simultaneously with the farewell dinner. The performances by top Indonesian group
